Nurse Midwife, Program Director
Victoria Gordon, MSN RN CNM was born in Washington D.C but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Master’s degree in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2018 and she currently practices south of Atlanta in Valdosta GA serving rural and vulnerable populations.
Victoria has over twelve years of nursing experience working with women and infants in a variety of settings including academia as nursing faculty, inpatient hospital settings, outpatient health, community based healthcare and has held multiple nursing leadership and management roles including chair of the legislative committee for the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Nurse Midwives. She is currently the APRN Director for Georgia Nurses Association and a staunch advocate for improving access to healthcare, improving the quality of healthcare and decreasing barriers to practice in the state of Georgia.
She is currently partnered with the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative to develop their new Cardiac Conditions in Pregnancy Bundle slated to be released to the general public later this year.
In her free time, she enjoys beaching with her husband and their children, gardening, cooking, quilting and yoga!
Birth Assistant, Doula
Lori Broadaway, BA, CD(DONA), LCCE has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology from Valdosta State University. Lori is a Certified DONA International Birth Doula and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. For almost a decade, she has been dedicated to providing doula care, childbirth education, midwifery assistance, lactation support to childbearing people in the South Georgia/North Florida area. She is a local activist for improving maternal infant health, organizing annual events such as: Rally to Improve Birth, March for Moms, The Great Cloth Diaper Change and The Big Latch-On. Lori’s international experience includes birth work in Okinawa, Japan. She is the sole proprietor of Dosta Doula Care and is thrilled to be working with Red Moon Midwifery. When she is not attending a birth…you will find her enjoying a jazz festival, training for her black belt in Taekwondo, wandering the woods on a hike or exploring a river in her kayak!
