“I built this practice because I believed families deserved better — clinically rigorous, deeply personal care that doesn't force you to choose between safety and experience.”
Victoria Gordon, CNM, APRN is a certified nurse midwife with advanced practice registered nurse licensure in Florida and Georgia. She is the founder and clinical director of Red Moon Midwifery, a non-profit midwifery program established to address poor maternal and infant outcomes in underserved communities.
Victoria was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She began her nursing career at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Egleston campus, caring for babies in the NICU, TICU, GI, and Respiratory departments. When Victoria was sixteen, she lost her little sister to a rare congenital cardiac defect. That loss became the compass that guided her into a career spent fighting for families at their most vulnerable.
As a registered nurse, Victoria worked in community health — taking care into the homes of special needs and technology-dependent children and their families. She earned her Master's degree in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2018, then worked in private practice and a high-volume, high-risk FQHC in South Georgia before founding Midwife ME, Ltd.
Midwife ME, Ltd — now doing business as Red Moon Midwifery — is a non-profit built around mission. It began in Valdosta, Georgia, serving rural and vulnerable populations in Lowndes and surrounding counties, and has since expanded to serve St. Mary's, GA, Jacksonville, FL, and surrounding areas.
Victoria holds leadership roles far beyond her clinical practice. She chairs the legislative committee for the Georgia Chapter of ACNM, serves as APRN Director for the Georgia Nurses Association, and partners with the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative to develop the new Cardiac Conditions in Pregnancy Bundle. She also teaches undergraduate nursing at Valdosta State University. As a mother of six, she brings both personal and professional depth to every family she serves.

The mission behind the practice.
Red Moon Midwifery is a non-profit. That's not a footnote — it shapes every decision we make. Our goal has never been profit. It has always been access: to skilled midwifery care, to insurance-covered out-of-hospital birth, to a provider who treats you as a whole person. We accept most major insurance plans because we believe the quality of your birth experience should not be determined by your financial situation.
